These three images are of the Floral Hall at Scarborough where the Fols performed first in 1911 and then at various periods including the 1950’s. The last image shows it as it is today: a bowling alley. Enough said! Although revamped it does retain a few features of the original interior.
Peter Felgate remembers the follow-spot light operator being hauled up in a basket before the show to his perch… and, presumably, down again afterwards.
